This group will also standardize and document the process for distributing the images to one or many computers as well as managing os and application updates and patches.
Network File System, Lead - Mark Edgar
Members: Roger Siggs, Steve, Cyril, DaleThis group will design file and print servers and services based on Microsoft servers and/or the Oracle Collaboration Suite. They will identify standards and processes for disaster recovery of server data (backups) as well as establishing processes for migrating data from existing Novell servers. Capacity and availability planning.
Active Directory, Lead - Cyril Azoulay
Members: Roger, John K, Susan, Josh K, Mark, Roger B, Steve, JeremyThis group will provide a final design for Active Directory domains, forests, trees, organization units and any other shrubbery necessary. This group will also facilitate the movement of DNS services to Microsoft servers and integrate with Active directory DNS needs.
Network Design/Implementation, Lead - Rich Lang
Members:, Jeremy, Steve, Patrick, Dale, Josh, Mark, Roger SThis group will identify VLANs and subnets, including TCP/IP address spaces, and TCP/IP address distribution and management. This group will also facilitate the movement of DNS services to Microsoft servers and integrate with Active directory DNS needs. Additionally this group will determine access permissions and restrictions for all potential connection requestions.
Communications, Lead - Michelle Shivnani
Members: John K, KC, Jim D, RichThis group will identify and develop communication strategies between the network refurbishment teams and the college constituency. They will define existing communication channels and the audiences they reach, identifying gaps and ways to fill them.
Change Control, Lead - Rich Lang
Members: John KThis group will impose controls and processes to insure changes are made with the knowledge and participation of any and all affected parties.
Oracle Collaboration Suite (OCS), Lead - Dale Hubler
Members: Roger B, TED Trainer, Help Desk RepresentativeThis group will configure and customize the Oracle Collaboration Suite for GCC administrative use. They will develop the necessary documentation and training sessions to migrate users to this tool for email, voicemail, and file storage.
College Data Store (CDS), Lead - Theresa Hilding
Members: Mark, Jim H, KC, JoshThis group will design and implement the college identity database. They will establish procedures for accessing and modifying the data and begin to provide interfaces to the data when and where it is needed. This group will also be responsible for modifications to Genesis to use the CDS as itÕs authoritative data source.
Security, Lead - Steve Smith
Members: Mark, Dale, CyrilThis group will interface with every other group to insure the physical, electronic and logical security of the collegeÕs data resources.
